Manchester City Council has gone out to with a framework contract measured and unmeasured water charges potentially worth up to £30 million in total.
The Council is looking to appoint a single supplier to a framework water services agreement which covers both Manchester City Council and Bolton Metropolitan Council sites.

Other eligible organisations include the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Authority, Greater Manchester Police Authority, Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority, Transport for Greater Manchester, Central Manchester Foundation Trust and University Hospitals of South Manchester.
Estimated total value is £20 million for Manchester only which covers the potential full 4 years of the framework. If other bodies opt to use the framework Manchester City Council expect that the 4-year value would then be £30 million in total.
The initial framework period will be for 1 year with the option to extend for up to an additional 3 years. It is intended for the framework to commence June 2020.
The successful supplier will also be required to actively participate in the economic and social regeneration of the locality and surroundings of the place of delivery of the contract.
