NI Water has awarded a contract for the collection and transportation of water and wastewater samples worth almost £7 million in total.

Services to be provided under the contract are for the sampling of water, waste water and Cryptosporidium filters from locations throughout Northern Ireland, together with the subsequent transportation of the samples to a specified NI Water laboratory for analysis.
Initial contract term is three years with the option to extend for two further 12 month periods.
Abingdon-headwquartered firm RPS Environmental Management Ltd, has been awarded the £6,970,910 contract, one of three firms in the bidding for the work.
