Anglian Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7/8 contract for the supply, refurbishment, maintenance and repair of vehicle mounted tanks and associated equipment with an estimated value of £14.9 million.

Theagreement covers the supply, refurbishment, maintenance and repair of vehicle mounted tank equipment - vacuum tanks, recycling jetter tanks and associated pump/pipe work equipment mounted on a rigid chassis cab or supplied as part of an articulated trailer chassis. The framework will cover both waste water and clean drinking water tankers for use by Anglian Water and is for the supply of goods and services.
This contract is being tendered in four separate Lots:
Lot 1 Trailer & Rigid Tankers
Supply of new trailer and rigid tanks and for the refurbishment of Anglian Water's existing trailer and rigid tanks. New rigid chassis will generally be provided by Anglian Water but the company may also purchase new rigid tanker vehicles in full.
The refurbishment of tankers where required, will take place on a phased programme over the lifetime of the framework with work be carried out at the supplier's premises
Lot 2 Recycler Jetter Tankers
Supply of new recycler jetter tanks and for the refurbishment of Anglian Water's existing jetter tanks. New tanks are generally to be mounted on new chassis provided by Anglian Water but Anglian Water may also purchase new tanker vehicles in full.
The refurbishment of tankers, where required, will take place on a phased programme over the lifetime of the framework with work is to be carried out at the supplier's premises.
Lot 3 Maintenance & Repair of Vehicle Mounted Tank Equipment - Trailer & Rigid Tankers, including Waste & Clean Water tanks
The on-going maintenance requirement for trailer and rigid tanks is for planned and responsive maintenance which is carried out at Anglian Water operational sites.
Lot 4 - Maintenance & Repair of Vehicle Mounted Tank Equipment - Recycler Jetter Tanks
The on-going maintenance requirement for recyler jetting tanks is for planned and responsive maintenance which is carried out at Anglian Water operational sites.
The Anglian Water tank operating area will be serviced by a two tier system, Tier 1 will be for suppliers to provide their services to the entire Anglian Water region, Tier 2 will be for smaller areas within the Anglian Water region as specified by the suppliers as areas they are able to provide their services to. Tier 1 will be approached for use first, and Tier 2 will be used if the Tier 1 response is not adequate.
