Natural England tenders £18m framework for constructed wetlands design and build services for nutrient mitigation

Natural England has gone out to tender with a framework contract for constructed wetlands design and build services for nutrient mitigation across the North, South and Central England worth an estimated £18 million.

The Framework Agreement is being tendered in Regional Lots consisting of the following catchment areas :

Lot 1 North of England - Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Northumbria & Yorkshire

Lot 2 South of England - Devon, Cornwall, Thames, Wessex, Kent, South London & East Sussex

Lot 3 Central England - East & West Midlands, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, East Anglia, Hertfordshire & North London

Initial framework term is three years with one optional one-year extension.

The total estimated £18 million value of the framework is based on a four year period.

While the framework is primarily intended to meet the needs of Natural England. successful bidders may also be required to provide the works/services on the same terms agreed as a result of the tender to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and to its associated bodies.

Successful bidders may also be required to provide the services to local planning authorities in England, the Environment Agency and other UK public sector organisations.
