United Utilities has gone out to tender with a framework contract worth between £6.5 million to £24 million for pipe supply on its Anchorsholme and Harrowside Outfalls scheme.
The tender is at pre qualification stage to select suppliers for the supply of large diameter pipes for two projects the scope and key design parameters for each is as follows:
i. Anchorsholme: Length 3 200 M to 4300 M; Number of pipes 1 or 2; Diameter range 1 450 mm to 2 300 mm internal diameter; Working pressure up to 4 bar; Test or surge pressure up to 8 bar; depth of burial 1.5 M to 3.0 M. Installation loadings are those associated with marine installation using float and flood techniques.
ii. Harrowside: Length 650 M to 2 000 M; Number of pipes 1; Diameter range 1 800 mm to 2 300 mm; Working pressure up to 3 bar; Depth of burial 1.5 M to 3.0 M. Installation loadings are those associated with marine installation using float and flood techniques.
Estimated value of the contract is between £6.5 million to £24.5 million. Starting date is 1st july this year with completion scheduled for the end of December 2017.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 22nd May.
The result of the tendering process may be one of the following: an agreement, a contract, a memorandum of understanding or an appointment as as a named Kit supplier (in the contract for the installation of the outfall pipelines).
