Infrastructure projects worth £33 billion have passed the first hurdle in getting a government infrastructure guarantee Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander has announced today.

 

Later this week the London Assembly’s Environment Committee will discuss how the capital’s water is managed with representatives of Thames Water - on Thursday the Committee will be questioning Richard Aylard, Thames Water’s External Affairs and Sustainability Director, about the management of London’s water supply.

 

Arup has recently reached a major milestone on the €4.5bn Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link tunnel project with the issue of tender documents for the four main civil works contracts.

Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a contract for metering services valued at between £15 million to £30 million.

 

Suez Environnement, via its subsidiary Agbar, has announced that it will manage the entire water cycle (water + sanitation) in the metropolitan area of Barcelona for a period of 35 years with €3.5 billion in revenues.

Scottish Water is seeking to appoint a maximum of six Non-Infrastructure Tier 1 Delivery Partners to support in the delivery of its future Capital Investment Programme, in a framework worth up to £360 million.

 

Thames Water has gone out to tender for preliminary construction work for pier reconstruction and marine vessel relocations for the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project.
