Landia_Taj_1Landia has won an important order from major Indian water and wastewater treatment company Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited to supply 18 BioMover mixers for Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR) in an advanced water treatment plant in Agra, home of the world famous Taj Mahal.

 

 

Morrison Construction will begin work next week on the £45m River Findhorn and Pilmuir scheme at Forres, the last of Moray’s five major flood alleviation schemes.

 

United Utilities and Anglian Water have gone out to tender on contracts worth £90m and £22m respectively.

The Environment Agency has put out to tender on its northern minor works framework with individual contracts worth up to £250,000.

 

The Office of Public Works in Ireland has awarded Lagan Construction a €14.5m Flood Alleviation Scheme in Fermoy, County Cork, with the 18 month contract due to commence in May 2012.

 

Galliford Try Infrastructure is understood to be the main contractor for Anglian Water’s new £44million reservoir near Newton-on-Trent.

 

ERIKSIndustrial services provider ERIKS has won a new three year contract with South West Water to maintain the utility’s waste water pumps from their networks throughout Devon and Cornwall and some areas of Somerset and Dorset.

 

 

Drainage specialist Lanes Group has been awarded a £216 million contract by Thames Water to provide waste water network services for at least three years.

Construction giant Balfour Beatty has been awarded a £13m contract to extend the Forth and Clyde canal under the M9 motorway.

 

Technical support services firm AECOM has been awarded two design-build contracts together worth £49million to upgrade the Blackburn Meadows Wastewater Treatment Plant in Sheffield.
