The Environment Agency has published proposals setting out plans to reduce flood risk around Heathrow between Datchet and Teddington – estimated cost of construction is currently put at £302 million-plus.

The deadline is approaching for submissions to the Call for Evidence under the National Flood Resilience Review launched by the government following Storm Desmond last December.

The Environment Agency is looking for new members to join the Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC) which covers all or part of Oxfordshire, Swindon, London and Essex, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey and Hampshire.
