Balfour Beatty has reported a strong performance with the publication this morning of its  half-year update for 2010.

Bicester's M25 for water to be extended

A six-mile long, circular water pipe that supplies 12 million litres of water a day to Bicester residents, is to be extended to boost pressure and cope with the town's future growth.

Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering, the UK and Ireland based regional civil engineering business, has been awarded a £2.2 million contract from Scottish Water Solutions to construct 13 fixed tanker fill points throughout Scotland

The Consumer Council for Water has warned that the Competition Commission’s final decision on how much Bristol Water can charge its customers until 2015 is well above what many customers will be willing to accept.

Cambridge Water maintains strong position

Economic and environmental challenges have failed to impact on the excellent service Cambridge Water is able to provide its customers, according to its latest annual report.

A new report published today by Severn Trent says that the aggregate debt for the water industry in England and Wales could triple – from £30 billion today to £90 billion by 2035.

The £80m Water Mains Rehabilitation Programme, to upgrade the water infrastructure across Northern Ireland, will soon commence in Belfast city centre.

According to reports in The Telegraph, Goldman Sachs is preparing a £4 billion takeover bid for privately-owned utility Southern Water.
