The Government has published a new map aimed at flagging up new water source heat opportunities in the UK.

A European Union UK-led project to nteractively link climate data from multiple sources offers real promise to help policymakers understand the likely results of their initiatives to address issues ranging from energy markets to groundwater resources.

Wales’ first giant tidal energy generator will be unveiled today at Pembroke Port by the First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones, marking the birth of the Welsh tidal industry.

The Environment Agency has published a useful technical guide on the monitoring of methane at unconventional gas exploration facilities to produce shale gas via hydraulic fracturing.

A macroeconomic impacts study has found that a national fleet of six tidal lagoon power plants would contribute £27 billion to UK GDP over the investment period 2015-2027. 

The Crown Estate, manager of the UK seabed, has announced that it has agreed seabed rights for six new wave and tidal current demonstration zones, which for the first time will enable locally-based organisations to manage and sub-let parts of the seabed to a range of wave and tidal stream developers.

Research partnerships between the EU, the private sector and Member States today presented their first calls for projects and partners under Horizon 2020, the EU's €80 billion research and innovation programme.
