Miles of chalk stream habitat in and around the Test in Hampshire has been improved – with more to come - in one of the UK’s most substantial river restoration schemes.

The River Gade has returned to its natural course in Gadebridge Park, following an ambitious river restoration project delivered by the Environment Agency, in collaboration with Affinity Water, Dacorum Borough Council and contractors BAM Nuttall.

The finishing touches are being put to almost £15 million of upgrades across three of Southern Water’s Hampshire wastewater treatment works.
