United Utilities has extended dam maintenance work at one of Anglezarke Reservoir’s historic dams – the work is now set to continue until the end of the year.
The Environment Agency led a training exercise at Rugeley flood storage area in Staffordshire this weekend, to rehearse emergency plans in the event of a major incident at the dam.
Work has been completed to restore part of the Nant Gain river in Cilcain. The £2 million restoration project was completed ahead of schedule by the not-for-profit water company, Welsh Water.
