Global water and wastewater solutions provider ACWA has highlighted the risks involved when companies fail to ensure their process systems are robust enough to comply with legislation and achieve optimum operational efficiency on an ongoing basis.
ACWA’s Bob Hastings warns:
“The focus must be firmly on quality and resilience to ensure any chosen solution is robust enough to continue working reliably. Too often, we hear tales of equipment that proves expensive to maintain, unreliable in operation, and unsuitable for the purpose for which it was intended.”
Compliance is also an issue increasingly high on the Corporate Responsibility agenda. Damage to a company’s reputation from equipment failure that leads to pollution can be significant, and long-lasting. The Environment Agency is highly likely to prosecute where equipment fails and causes pollution, and inevitably these cases reach the press which is not the sort of profile any company needs, or wants.

Bob Hastings says:
“By applying our expertise and operational experience we can often achieve remarkable improvements to a plant’s operation. Key to this is working closely with the client to drive efficiency without compromising the quality of the output or endangering legal compliance.”
