Tyco Waterworks Europe becomes TALIS

Waterworks Europe, the European market leader of water supply valves and fittings has been sold by its parent company, Tyco International to private equity firm Triton.

Following media reports on below-average rainfall and possible hosepipe restrictions in the northwest of England, Thames Water said it is continuing to monitor water availability.

Thames Water retains Carbon Trust Standard

Thames Water, Britain's largest water and wastewater company, has become the first British utility to be re-accredited with the Carbon Trust Standard.

Thames Water has opened mainland UK's first-ever desalination plant to provide "seriously water-stressed" London with a much-needed back-up supply to use in the event of a drought.

Thames Water launches online investment map

Thames Water has launched an online map to give an overview of its £5 billion planned work to upgrade its ageing water pipes, sewers and other facilities over the next five years.

Thames Water has launched its 14-week public consultation on plans for the proposed Thames Tunnel, which will significantly reduce sewage discharges into the River Thames.

Thames Water Utilities Ltd was ordered to pay £12,323 by Bracknell Magistrates Court on Wednesday for causing the pollution of a tributary of the River Thames twice within the space of two years.

Thames Water, the UK's largest water and sewerage company, has  announced its latest financial results for the year ending 31 March 2010.

Thames Tunnel sewer costs could double

Thames Water has said this week that the cost of the Thames Tunnel super-sewer, currently the subject of a public consultation - could nearly double.
