Non-execs now in majority on Bristol Water Board

A new appointment by Bristol Water, along with further changes to be announced during this financial year, means that the water firm’s Board will have a majority of independent directors, in line with Ofwat’s Corporate Governance Principles.

Bristol Water has appointed Tim Tutton as an independent non executive director to its Board with effect from 1st January 2015.

Mr Tutton is an economic consultant specialising in economic regulation, especially in the energy sector. He is an Honorary University Fellow in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences at Exeter University and a specialist communications and utility panel member at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Previously he has been UK Director of Regulation at National Grid, Director of UK Utility Regulation at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Senior Adviser at Oxera and Adjunct Professor in the Energy Futures Lab at Imperial College.
