Hull-based firm Axis Telecom Ltd, trading as ‘Axis for Business Ltd’ has applied to Ofwat for retail water supply and sewerage licences.
Founded in 2001, Axis is a independent telecoms and energy supplier to businesses across the UK.
The company website describes it as “ proactive to market change and actively seeking ways to improve and refresh the business.”
The synopsis of the company’s business plan submitted to Ofwat says Axis for Business Ltd is a multi-utility supplier and “sees water as a natural fit to its portfolio”, which will enable it to be a one stop shop for SME telecoms and utility services.
Deadline to submit representations or objections about the application is 22 February 2018.
