Ofwat has granted water and sewerage retail licences to a new entrant to the retail water sector Olympos Water Ltd.
Olympos Water is part of the Multi-Utility UK Group which specialises in the design and construction of gas, water, electricity and telecom networks, covering the complete spectrum of infrastructure engineering services for all types of development.
Olympos Water’s business plan submitted to Ofwat last year in support of its application says its ambition is to create a multi-utility provider that will occupy a gap in the current market. The aim is to offer commercial developers an integrated network design to retail supply service. Olympos said this represents the first step towards this vision with the addition of gas, electricity and telecom retail services following within a 3-5 year period.
Based in Heywood, Lancashire Olympos Water says on its website:
“We have taken time to assess our clients needs before entering the market allowing us to offer outstanding water retail services with total confidence.
“At Olympos our aim is to provide value for our customers, we pride ourselves on offering a high standard of customer service whilst offering huge value for money.”
