United Utilities has appointed Rob Moore as County Business Leader - Water Services for Cheshire – he takes up his new role following his previous appointment as County Business Leader - Wastewater Services for Lancashire in March 2024.

Rob Moore will manage a team of 225 operational and support staff - speaking about his new appointment, Rob said:
“I’m really pleased to be back working in Cheshire, and we have a fantastic and experienced team working hard to deliver an excellent service for the county. That includes exciting plans to deliver our mains renewal programme, which will upgrade key parts of our water infrastructure so that we can continue to supply great drinking water to our customers for years to come. You’ll be seeing more of us and our delivery partners out and about as we carry out this work for our region.
“We’ll also be using new and innovative ways to target leakage and water efficiency, cutting down on leaks and keeping water in the pipes; for example, we’re already using new satellite technology that allows us to scan vast areas of our network and pinpoint areas of concern for our teams to find and fix leaks faster, more efficiently and with less disruption to our customers. We’re also committed to carrying out our work while being mindful of our carbon footprint, and we’ll do this by working closely with dedicated partners to minimise any environmental impact of our work.”
