Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has officially opened its pioneering £13 million reedbed and wetland storm overflow at Pont-y-felin in Torfaen – the first project of its kind in the UK.
Irish Water, working in partnership with Carlow County Council, has completed works to install Sludge Drying Reed Beds (SDRB) at five wastewater treatment plants in Co. Carlow – the environmentally friendly wastewater project will result in significant cost savings and promote biodiversity.
