Northern Ireland Water has cut its everyday running costs by £7 million, according to its Annual Report and Accounts for 2013/14 published today.

Yorkshire Water is underlining the support available to any of its customers who are struggling to pay their bills in light of a new report on water poverty.

HaloSource reports accelerated revenue growth

HaloSource, the global clean water technology company trading on London’s AIM, has today announced its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2014.

During the past four years Thames Water, together with the Environment Agency, has traced 410 misconnections into Mayes brook – but  predict there are at least another 60,000 misconnections still to be found.

Yorkshire Water has become the UK’s first water company to try to prevent incidents of pollution before they occur using a model developed as part of its £300 million war on sewage.

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water has launched a public consultation on its draft Drought Plan 2014.

The risk of sewer flooding in Hackenthorpe in Sheffield will be significantly reduced as the result of a £2 million investment by Yorkshire Water which will also reduce the risk of pollution in the nearby Shire Brook.

South West Water starts £2m storm water project

South West Water will start work on a £2 million storm water project next week to deliver even cleaner seas off Combe Martin ahead of upcoming EU Bathing Water Directive requirements.

Costain is carrying out further work at the Severn Trent Water Edgbaston Depot as part of the Birmingham Resilience Scheme.

 

Balfour Beatty has announced the sale of its professional services division, Parsons Brinckerhoff, to WSP Global Inc. for US$1,352.5 million (£820 million).  The sale price assumes cash of US$110 million (£67 million) is retained within Parsons Brinckerhoff
