Thames Water's pre-tax profits have risen to £259.3m in 2013/14 from £144.9m in 2012/13, according its latest financial results published today.

Bristol Water has gained planning approval to build a new £125m reservoir next to the existing one in Cheddar, Somerset.

Thames Water pays back £86m to customers

Ofwat has today welcomed Thames Water’s agreement to pay a package worth £86 million to customers and the communities it serves, following Ofwat’s investigation into the company’s reporting of sewer flooding data in 2010.

Severn Trent Water is investing £13 million to build a new anaerobic digestion plant for food waste at its Coleshill Sewage Treatment Works.
