Wessex Water is leading the way under Ofwat’s new measure for assessing customer service performance in the water industry.

The latest Trading Update for Severn Trent Water for the period 1 April 2015 to 14 July 2015 says the firm is continuing to make "very good progress" on delivering efficiency savings and has made a good start to its AMP6 capital programme.

A half mile-long new sewer tunnel is to be installed beneath the streets of the Yoker area of Glasgow as part of a £7 million project to help improve the water quality and natural environment of the River Clyde and tackle flooding issues.
