Thames Water has set out plans to build a new £25 million drinking water pipeline will significantly reduce the amount of water taken every day from the River Kennet.


i2O Water, the Smart Water Networks company, today announced that it has secured additional funding of £8 million to expand its research and development (R&D) activities in Southampton, UK.

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water has won its appeal against Swansea Council’s decision refusing planning permission for the firm to erect a wind turbine at its Swansea Bay wastewater treatment works.

Thames Water is inviting residents in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to have their say on a £280 million scheme designed to protect properties from sewer flooding.

United Utilities is about to start work on massive £13 million project to clean and upgrade one of the North West’s largest water pipes which runs from Westby right into Blackpool.

Northumbrian Water will start work next month on a £5 million programme to improve Saltburn’s bathing water quality.

SBWWi appoints new Chief Executive Officer

The Society of British Water & Wastewater Industries has announced the appointment of Paul Horton to the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer following the retirement of SBWWI’s Executive Director Carol Hickman.

The Water Industry Commission for Scotland (WICS) has today published its final determination of what Scottish Water can charge for water and sewerage services for the period 2015-21.

Scottish Water is in the process of drawing up plans to build a new pre-treatment facility at its Killylour Water Treatment Works in Dumfries and Galloway.
