Sutton and East Surrey Water (SESW) is anticipating a £7 bill increase for customers in order to deliver the improvements set out in its AMP6 business plan.

MITIE, the strategic outsourcing company, has announced it has partnered with Leaksafe Solutions Ltd, which will see MITIE’s MiTec Technology Centre undertake the monitoring of the Leaksafe range of leak detection and prevention devices.

Northumbrian Water has pledged to invest around £1 billion in services to its North East customers between 2015 and 2020.

Southern Water plans £3bn AMP6 spend

Southern Water’s new Business Plan for the AMP6 period will cost £3 billion to deliver, it has announced, while customer bills will go up by no more than inflation.

Thames Water’s request for an interim price increase of £29 which potentially would come into effect in 2014/15 has raised some interesting questions about the figures in the utility’s recently published Draft Business Plan and the Business Plan process itself.
