The Environment Agency has gone out to tendering with a contract for closed circuit television services (CCTV) to instal and maintain remote cameras for flood monitoring worth half a million pounds.
The Asset Performance Team West Midlands have already installed CCTV cameras at some of the Agency’s key flood defence structures throughout the region.
The cameras allow Flood Incident Duty Officers and Field Services maintenance teams to remotely monitor the structures during flood events and also allowing better planning and resourcing during routine maintenance.
The Environment Agency is now looking for a supplier who can provide, install and maintain a simple and cost effective CCTV solution to meet its operational needs. The supplier will be required to host the images for access by employees via a web portal or via email and a range of platforms including laptops, smart phones and other mobile devices.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 8th November 2017 – click here to access the tender documentation.
