Boulting Technology appointed to Anglian Water energy efficiency & optimisation Framework

Boulting Technology has been appointed to Anglian Water’s AMP6 energy efficiency and optimisation framework.

Boulting Technology, has been appointed to the framework agreement, which will run for three years with two further 12-month extension options, alongside seven other suppliers

AW framework boultingAnglian Water is the largest water and wastewater service provider in England and Wales by geographic area, supplying more than six million domestic and business customers. The framework will see the suppliers work across Anglian Water’s entire supply network, which includes Colchester, Hull, Norwich and East Anglia.

The initial tender saw Anglian look for companies to provide a wide range of services for identifying and delivering energy efficiency and optimisation projects, as well as savings across its entire network.

Boulting has been awarded two Lots on the framework. The first, borehole efficiency, focuses on energy and optimisation centred around borehole assets, which includes well-field optimisation, borehole pump efficiency, borehole control optimisation, pumping network management and tariff optimisation.

The second Lot, pumping efficiency water supply, involves energy and optimisation of water supply pumping assets, including pump efficiency and control and network tariff optimisation.

“Boulting Technology has been successfully working on frameworks in the water industry since 2002, however our experience in the sector far exceeds that,” explained Andy O’Rourke, senior consultant at Boulting Technology.

“With over 50 service providers from various industries participating in the tender process, we’re delighted to have been appointed to the framework. Our unique capabilities allow us to provide full inspection, testing, repair and efficiency monitoring of pump systems, meaning we can not only make optimisation recommendations, but we can also implement the changes as well.

“Boulting Technology has extensive experience and understanding of regulatory issues, enabling us to provide a breadth of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services, meaning we can retain ownership of the entire project and deliver the projected savings.”

Chris Evans, energy efficiency manager at Anglian Water commented:

“Our 2050 Carbon Neutral ambition and our commitment to our customers to be even more efficient in the future, means that we are having to think and work differently.”

“Our Energy Efficiency and Optimisation framework partners are key to helping us on our journey to achieving these goals.

“We are excited to have Boulting on board collaborating with our energy initiative, other EE&O partners and AW operations. Their skills are proving invaluable in identifying and delivering some high impact efficiency projects.”

Boulting Technology is a leading supplier of systems integration, low voltage motor control centres - including the Boulting Power Centre - control panels and industrial network solutions. The company’s technical expertise and industry knowledge allows it to provide the most effective, efficient and safe solution, while minimising whole life costs for the customer.
