Welsh Water has released tender documents inviting contractors to bid for a framework contract worth up to £156 million.
The contract covers repair and maintenance across its network throughout Wales and Herefordshire. Under the four year contract, suppliers can bid for five lots covering water network repair and maintenance, meter installation and renewal and trunk main cleaning. The contract forms a major part of Welsh Water’s Asset Management Programme.
Applicants for the contract, which may be extended by a further two years, can apply for more than one lot. Welsh Water has stipulated that at least 80 percent of the workload must be carried out by the supplier’s own direct labour force.
Deadline for submission of pre-qualification questionnaires is 18 October. Registered WaterBriefing readers can acccess the tender documentation at: http://www.waterbriefing.org/uk-treharris-construction-work-for-water-projects.-deadline-18.09.html
