Southern Water tenders £15m environmental risks contract

Southern Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for environmental risks assessments worth an estimated £15 million.

The contract covers wastewater investigation requirements to identify and propose actions to manage risks to the environment from Southern Water assets

The contract to establish cause and effect relationships between water company assets and environmental standards including options appraisal, is being tendered in five separate Lots:

Lot 1: Coastal investigations (£3m)

Lot 2: Wastewater Quality Investigations (£3m)

Lot 3: WFD Chemicals Investigations (£3m)

Lot 4: WFD Flow Monitoring Investigations (£3m)

Lot 5: CSO spilling investigations (£3m)

Southern Water is looking to appoint up to 15 suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for four years with further potential extension options.
