Yorkshire Water awards £4m AMP7 telemetry equipment contract

Yorkshire Water has awarded a contract for network telemetry pressure and flow loggers worth an estimated £4 million.

Permanet SU

HWM Water Ltd has won the contract, one of two companies in the bidding for the work.

With manufacturing facilities and head office based in the UK, HMW’s customers include most major UK utility providers, facilities managers and numerous large scale export projects. The company is a framework supplier for most of the UK water companies.

Earlier this month HWM launched PermaNET SU, an innovative new single unit leak detection system that combines a leak noise sensor with telemetry technology, creating a fixed network to monitor leakage.

PermaNET SU is undisruptive and easy to install, making it practical for large-scale deployment, while compatibility with Google Maps means that users can be provided with a real-time visual representation of precise deployment sites.
