Anglian Water has awarded a multi-million pound contract for ordnance surveying mapping services.
The contract covers the supply of Ordnance Survey ‘OS Master Map Topography Layer’ mapping (license) and associated services, including the OS AddressBase® Premium service which will allow the water company to self serve Address Base Premium nationally on demand.
The flagship address database provides users with the most up to date, accurate information about addresses, properties and land areas, including regular data updates in line with releases from OS which cover Anglian Water’s operational boundary and additional areas
Anglian Water has awarded an initial four year framework agreement to Exeter –based firm Landmark Information Group Ltd, one of three companies in the bidding for the work, with the potential for up to four years in additional extension options.
The final contract award value has not been disclosed on the grounds that doing so is likely to prejudice fair competition. This includes the possibility that it could prejudice the legitimate commercial interests of the supplier due to the nature of the tender and how the commercial model under the contract was constructed.
When the water company originally went out to tender the initial estimated total value of the contract was put at £5.76 million.
