Anglian Water Group has gone out to tender with an AMP7/8 contract for external auditing services worth an estimated £6 million.

The tender is for the provision of external audit services for the Anglian Water Group, covering Anglian Water Services (the regulated company), property and other group companies.
Scope of the tender includes:
- Full year audit of statutory and regulatory accounts, including a review of the Preliminary Announcement for AWS, and a half year review of interim accounts
- Assessment of the controls environment working closely with the companies’ internal auditors, to provide assurance for the statutory audits
- Specific audit procedures as required by Ofwat on the water company regulatory returns
- Supplying a comfort letter in support of the Offering Circular documentation for the medium term loan notes.
Estimated total value of the contract, which will run for eight years, is £6,000,000.
