United Utilities has gone out to tender with an AMP7 contract for water demand and network consultancy services worth an estimated £3.5 million.

The aim of the framework is to support in the investigation, analysis and understanding of demand for water in the region supplied by United Utilities, as well as surrounding regions. An understanding of demand for water now and in the future forms an integral part of the water company’s strategies and plans.
The framework will contribute to the delivery of the utility's Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP), Price Review, Drought Plan, Annual Performance Reporting and other regulatory reporting.
United Utilities is looking to appoint three suppliers to the framework agreement, which will be in place for eight years.
