Devon County Council (DCC) has gone out to tender with a contract to conduct a smart gullies trial for the Devon Resilience Innovation Project.

This is a supply chain opportunity to work with the Council to trial smart gully sensor technology in highway gullies across Devon to determine if they can be used to inform gully clearing schedules and work as a warning system for flooding.
The trial, which will be run in four locations across Devon including rural and urban areas, will run from autumn 2023 to spring 2025 capturing data over two winters.
DCC Highways and DCC Flood and Coastal Risk Management team are working together on the trial, which has been funded through the Flood and Coastal Risk Innovation Programme. DCC wants to find innovative solutions using technology to address highway and flooding issues.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 24 April 2023 – click here to download the tender documentation.
