Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig with a contract for Fat, Oil and Grease (FOG) reduction management services worth an estimated £4.8 million.

The utilities are looking for a FOG reduction services supplier for the following:
- Commercial Field Visits: a network of field operatives with water industry experience to visit FSEs (Food Service Establishments) to encourage FSEs install fat traps to catch and divert FOG from entering the network.
- Recharge and litigation case Management: cost recovery services where repeated offenders are recharged the costs of cleaning the sewers. Prosecution document preparation for non-payers.
- Domestic Field visits: a network of field operatives to visit domestic properties in regions impacted by FOG incidents.
- Administrative support services: the necessary support services namely customer account management, field management, fleet management and training
Initial contract term is is 3 years with up to 4 years in further renewal options.
