North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA) has awarded a contract for drainage surveys on the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road worth an estimated £1 million.

Services to be provided under the contract include:
- All assets condition and connectivity survey
- Validation survey
- Priority Asset Survey
- Filter drain condition survey by GPR
- Pipework and chambers defect survey by CCTV
- Pipework geometric survey by laser profiler
- Pipework inclination survey by CCTV
- Ditch defect and profile survey
- Pipework indicative condition by acoustic survey
- Chambers defect and geometric survey by laser scanner
Three companies have been awarded framework agreement contracts - DDC Engineering Solutions Ltd, Severn Partnership Ltd and Lanes Group PLC.
NMWTRA is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the strategic major A trunk on behalf of the Welsh Government.
