Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig with an AMP8 contract for the hire, purchase, maintenance and repair of generators.

The procurement process covers the provision of the following three Lots relating to mobile and fixed generators:
Lot 1 Generator Hire
Provision of mobile generator hire services. Mobile generators may be required during a power outage or during planned maintenance on existing generators or infrastructure. This service is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Initial contract is 36 months with two potential annual further extension options.
Lot 2 Generator Purchase
The utilities are seeking to appoint a supplier(s) for the provision of mobile and fixed generators. Generators are required during power outages or planned maintenance on existing generators or infrastructure. The agreement includes transport, ancillary items, fuel and fuel tanks, design and commissioning. Initial contract term is 60 months.
Lot 3 Generator Service, Maintenance and Repair
The utilities are seeking to appoint a supplier for the service, maintenance and repair of mobile generators, fixed generators and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) equipment. This service is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Initial contract is 36 months with two potential annual further extension options.
