Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract for the supply of Monosodium Phosphate (MSP) with an estimated value of £39.5 million.
The water company is looking to put Framework in place with partners who have a proven track record of providing MSP which will be used at Yorkshire Water’s clean water treatment sites.
The requirement will be for the following:
- 32% strength MSP product provision
- 51% strength MSP product provision
- Delivery of MSP product
Curent estimated start and end contract dates are 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2030, with a possible further extension option to 31 July 2033.
The contract is being tendered in the following regionally structured Lots:
- Lot 1 North 32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product (£13.8 million)
- Lot 2 South 32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product (£18.3 million )
- Lot 3 East 32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product for the East lot (£7.5 million)
Tenders may be submitted for all lots; however suppliers will be limited to winning a maximum of 2 Lots, with possible combinations of either North & East, or South & East only.
Bidders can only be awarded the East Lot if they have been awarded either North or South Lots. Bidders will not be able to win both North and South Lots together.
The procurement process will consist of Conditions of Participation Questionnaire and a Tender (ITT). Only suppliers that meet the conditions of participation requirements will have their tenders evaluated, followed by a second round of tendering. If required, Yorkshire Water may then proceed to a third and final stage (Best and Final Offer (BAFO) round).
