Southern Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for fleet management services and telematics – the contract had an estimated value of £45 million when it went out to tender in August 2024.

Scope of the contract for the provision of fleet management services and telematics includes:
Vehicle Funding (business need cars & light commercial vehicles)
- Plant & Trailer Funding
- SMR Management (incl tyres and windscreens)
- Driver Risk Management (incl license checks, driver training)
- Accident Management (incl roadside assistance/recovery, repair management)
- Rentals Management (incl short, medium & long term as well as planned and reactive)
- Vehicle Reallocation & Disposal
- Build Management
- Telematics Units (incl installation, ongoing service & maintenance and disposal)
The water company was looking to appoint a single supplier to the framework which will run for an intial five year term with a further potential extension option of up to three years. No information has been made available with regard to the successful contractor.
