Severn Trent Water is flagging up its forthcoming procurement on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig for the supply of pumps, pump services and motors and gearboxes.

While no indicative tender value of the tender has been provided at this stage, it is undoubtedly set to be a multi-million pound framework.
The water company is looking to put a framework in place covering the following requirements:
- end to end mangement of borehole pumps (including supply, install & repair)
- supply of end suction, split case & vertical turbine pumps & spares (including install & repair)
- supply of multistage & booster sets & spares (including install & repair)
- supply of progressive cavity pumps & spares (including install & repair)
- supply of ram pumps & spares (including install & repair)
- supply of motors
- repair of motors
- supply of gearboxes
- repair of gearboxes
- pump refurbishment & repair
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 September 2026 to 1 September 2031 with further possible extension options up to 1 February 2036.
The contract will be tendered in the following Lots:
Lot 1. End to End Management of Borehole Pumps
Supply and repair of borehole pumps, supply of borehole pump spares, provision of installation and removal of borehole pumps, provision of 24/7 accessible storage of client owned stock with storage maintenance regime
Lot 2. Supply of Split Case, End Suction, Vertical Turbine Pumps & Spares
Supply and repair of split case, end suction, vertical turbine pumps, supply of spares, installation including pipework modifications
Lot 3. Supply of Multistage Pumps & Booster Sets
Supply and repair of multistage pumps & booster sets, supply of spares, installation including pipework modification
Lot 4. Supply of Progressive Cavity Pumps & Spares
Supply and repair of progressive cavity pumps, supply of spares, installation including pipework modification
Lot 5. Supply of Ram Pumps & Spares
Supply and repair of ram pumps, supply of spares, installation including pipework modification
Lot 6. Supply of Motors
Supply of AC motors
Lot 7. Repair of Motors
Repair and refurbishment of AC motors including rewind services
Lot 8. Supply of Gearboxes
Supply of gearboxes and geared motors
Lot 9. Repair of Gearboxes
Repair/refurbishment of gearboxes
Lot 10. Pump Refurbishment & Repair
3rd party refurbishment and repair of pumps including pre/post efficiency testing, efficiency coatings, impeller balance and trim, metal spraying, machining
Current estimated publication date of a formal tender notice for requests to participate is 1 February 2026 with a deadline for requests to participate of 5:00pm on 1 May 2026.
