Staffordshire County Council (SCC) has gone out to tender with a framework contract for drainage, jet washing and interceptor waste disposal services SCC-owned Household Waste Recycling Centres.
SCC provides fourteen household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) for residents to recycle and dispose of their household waste and one Waste Transfer Station which accepts waste from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
The HWRCs receive over 1.6 million visits every year. The total tonnage managed by the HWRCs for 2021/22 was 84,306 tonnes of waste.
The Council is now seeking tenders for the provision of tanker / jet washing services for the HWRC network (14 sites) ,1 transfer station at Leek and the bulking sweepings waste at Stone.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2029, with a further possible extension option to 30 April 2030.
Deadline for submission of enquiries about the tender is 12:00pm on 16 March 2026, and tender submission deadline is 12:00pm on 23 March 2026.
Estimated award decision date is 13 April 2026.
