Severn Trent has awarded AMP8 contracts for Combined Heat & Power (CHP) unit/engines requirements for the water company's Bioresources area with an estimated value of c£16.55 million including VAT.

The contract, which had a total estimated value of £34.2 million including VAT, was tendered in the following two separate Lots in August 2025:
Lot 1. CHP Units (£29.16 million including VAT)
Supply and installation of CHP Units
Lot 2. Engines Only (£5.04 million including VAT)
Supply and delivery of Engines only
Clarke Energy Ltd and Veolia Energy & Utility Services UK Ltd have both been awarded contracts under Lot 1. Earliest date the contract will be signed is 28 April 2026
Estimated start and end contract dates are 28 April 2026 to 27 April 2031, with further possible extension options up to 27 April 2036. Severn Trent will consider extending the contract for a minimum of 12 months.
