Thames Water has gone out to tender with a major AMP8 contract for Clean Water Network Data Logging & Leak Detection Products with an estimated total value of £139.8 million inc VAT.
Scope of the tender covers both the supply of, and installation of, data logging equipment for the Thames Water clean water network including the supply of pressure and flow logging equipment, both fixed and non fixed. It also includes the supply of various acoustic logging equipment, both fixed, and non-fixed.
The installation Lot includes both the install, maintenance, and replacement works.
Full details of the procurement process that will be followed are provided within the Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ) and Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) documentation.
Suppliers' PSQ submissions will be scored in accordance with the criteria set out within the PSQ documentation, suppliers that are shortlisted will be invited to submit a proposal in response to the ITN. After tenders have been submitted, evaluated, and negotiated, the successful supplier will be awarded according to the percentage weightings and criteria set out in the ITN.
Deadline for submission of enquiries about the tender is 5:00pm on 1 June 2026 and deadline for requests to participate, requesting access to the PSQ & submitting the PSQ is 10:00am on 8 June 2026.
The contract is being tendered in the following Lots:
Lot 1. Flow and Pressure data loggers - £19.6 million inc VAT
Covers the supply of flow and pressure loggers and relevant ancillaries. This includes but is not necessarily limited to; flow loggers, pressure loggers, combined flow and pressure loggers, incident loggers, as well as fixed and non-fixed versions of these assets.
Lot 2. Acoustic Data Loggers and Leak Detection equipment - £88.2 million inc VAT
Covers the supply of both fixed, and non-fixed acoustic data loggers and leak detection equipment. This includes but is not necessarily limited to; fixed acoustic loggers, hydrophones, and portable acoustic correlators.
Lot 3. Repair, Maintenance & installation of Water Network data loggers - £32.2 million inc VAT
Covers the installation, maintenance, and repair visits for data loggers on the clean water network. This includes but is not necessarily limited to; the installation and repairs of fixed flow and pressure loggers, the installation and repairs of acoustic loggers, as well as the installation of non-fixed data loggers, all on the clean water network.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 October 2026 to 1 July 2029, with further possible extension options up to 1 July 2034.
