Devon County Council has awarded a contract for the Exeter- Northbrook surface water alleviation scheme with an estimated value of c £207,000 including VAT.

The Northbrook Drainage Connections Scheme comprises the construction of seven new oversized drainage connections within the Northbrook catchment, Exeter, connecting directly into the existing Northbrook culvert.
Scope of works includes all necessary traffic management, excavation, drainage installation, and reinstatement activities, together with confined space access and working to facilitate connections to the existing culvert network.
The contract has been awarded without competition to a single supplier Exeter-based firm E. and J.W. Glendinning Ltd under the Council’s Minor Engineering Works Framework 2026-2030.
Contract term runs from 26 August 2026 to 13 November 2026.
