United Utilities has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract to put a Sewer Flooding Mitigation Framework Agreement in place with a total estimated value of £24.936 million including VAT.

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 10 November 2026 to 31 March 2030 with possible extension options up to 31 March 2040.
The water company is looking to award the contract to a single supplier who will retain responsibility for the entirety of requirements under the Agreement.
Deadline for submission of enquiries about the tender is 4:00pm on 21 September 2026 and the tender submission deadline is 4:00pm on 28 September 2026
Current estimated award decision date is 30 October 2026.
The procurement is being conducted as a Competitive Flexible Procedure which will run as a combined submission covering both the standard selection questionnaire (PSQ) elements and the initial Invitation to Tender (ITT).
Following the evaluation of initial tenders, United Utilities reserves the right to award the contract directly on the basis of those initial submissions without further interaction. The company also reserves the option, at its sole discretion, to conduct a negotiation stage.
