Northern Ireland Water has awarded a contract for risk management advisory services with an estimated value of £1.176 million including VAT.

Scope of the contract includes the ongoing development of the water company’s energy risk management policy and strategy, and provision of advisory services in respect of energy price hedging through the use of commodity financial derivatives and indices.
The award decision date is 7 September 2026 and the earliest date the contract will be signed is 17 September 2026, following the standstill period of 8 working days which ends on 16 September.
Centrus Financial Advisors Ltd have been awarded the contract, one of four firms who tendered for the work.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2028 with further possible extension options up to 30 September 2033.
