United Utilities has awarded a number of water efficiency contracts with an estimated total value of £4 million (including VAT).

The framework contract was originally tendered with an estimated value of £42 million including VAT in April 2026 comprised of the following Lots:
Lot 1 - Supply and delivery of In-Home Audits (£12 million including VAT)
Service delivery of audits, installations, and minor repairs in customers’ homes. Facility to contact customers to secure audits and promote services.
Lot 2 - Supply and delivery of Water Efficiency Devices £18 million including VAT)
Supply of WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved water saving devices e.g. flow regulators and small devices such as water butts, showerheads, tap inserts, buffaloo cistern bags and more. Suppliers to manage storage and distribution. This Lot will be used by UU or customers directly and will also be inclusive of the provision of an online customer consumption platform.
Lot 3 - Supply and delivery of Small Business & Sector-Led Audits £12 million including VAT)
Service delivery of audits within small businesses and sector led areas such as schools, leisure centres, care homes. Facility to contact customers to secure audits and promote services.
United Utilities has awarded three contracts under Lot 1 with an estimated total value of £4 million (including VAT) to the following companies:
- Aqualogic (WC) Ltd.
- Control Flow Technologies Group Ltd
- P.N.Daly Ltd.
Award decision date was 17 September 2026 and earliest date the contract will be signed is 15 October 2026.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 15 October 2026 to 14 October 2028 with further possible extension options up to 14 October 2034.
A decision not to award contracts for Lot 2 - Supply and delivery of Water Efficiency Devices - was taken on 2 July 2026.
