Anglian Water has begun the search for framework contractors for its AMP6 investment programme worth up to £2 bilion.
The utility is looking for partners to provide works through various long term collaborative frameworks as part of its investment programme between 2015 and 2020, along with extension options during 2020 to 2030.
The AMP 6 contract is estimated to be worth around £2 billion - similar to the current AMP5 capital investment programme of £ 2billion. Extension options into the AMP7 and AMP8 investment periods to 2030 take this figure up to between £6 billion and £9 billion. Several operators are likely to win places on the framework.
The five year contract will be divided into four lots covering metering; repair and maintenance (water and wastewater infrastructure capital works); small Capital (water and wastewater infrastructure capital works, and water and wastewater non-infrastructure capital works); medium Capital (water and wastewater infrastructure capital works, and water and wastewater non-infrastructure capital works).
The works called for will include some or all of the following elements - appraisal/feasibility study, modelling, design, construction, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, handing over, plant performance control, monitoring and optimisation, maintenance, equipment supply and replacement, refurbishment, repair, major refurbishment, shutdown, overhaul and reinstatement, demolition, dismantling and decommissioning.
It is anticipated that agreements will be signed by April 2014, ready for the AMP6 programme which will start a year later.
