Severn Trent Water Ltd has awarded international infrastructure and business services Group Mouchel a contract extension worth in excess of £600k to provide specialist services under its AMP5 SynerGEE modelling framework, a 50 percent increase on previous years and over one-third of the overall framework spend.
Mouchel has supported STW continuously with network modelling for more than 20 years and in 2010 it was re-appointed to the STW AMP5 SynerGEE modelling framework.
Commenting on the win, Andrew Rowland, Technical Delivery Manager for Mouchel’s Water Consulting business, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to deliver a quality, value-for-money service to Severn Trent Water. The increase in the value of work which we have won clearly demonstrates their confidence in our modelling capability and gives us an excellent opportunity to further our close working relationship with them.”
Under the framework, consultants are invited to bid in mini-competitions for various work packages. Over the last few years, Mouchel has been successful in winning work comprising a combination of zonal analysis and model build studies. These studies have helped to promote the use of network analysis for STW which are now included within its annual programme of work.
