The Welsh Government is changing the way it provides information, advice and support to help people in Wales to use resources such as energy and water more efficiently – and has gone out to tender with a contract worth up to £43 million.
The Government has already held three market sounding conference events for people interested in tendering to supply the new services.
The suite of services will provide information, advice and support to people from across the business, public, community, domestic and third sectors.
The Government wants to establish a framework contract from which suppliers will be called to provide specific pieces of work. Types of advice and support that will be provided to the above sectors will include:
- undertaking surveys that identify resource efficiency opportunities
- providing advice on resource efficiency implementation projects
- providing advice on topics relating to installing microgeneration technologies
- working with groups of stakeholders to help them to identify and implement resource efficiency activity
- providing advice and support to the supply chain to identify opportunities within the resource efficiency market
- developing and delivering innovative forms of finance that enable resource efficiency projects to occur
- undertaking research and evaluation relating to resource efficiency and evaluating such projects.
Deadline for responses to the tender is Monday 27 January 2014. Click here to access the tender document.
