Contract News

The Welsh Government is changing the way it provides information, advice and support to help people in Wales to use resources such as energy and water more efficiently – and has gone out to tender with a contract worth up to £43 million.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has gone out to tender for technical support on the  Water Technology List - a list of water efficient technologies in support of the enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme for water efficient technologies.

Amey has won two major extensions on existing AMP5 contracts into AMP6 with United Utilities and Severn Trent Water with a combined value of £415 million.

Severn Trent Water ihas announced that contracts with all seven of its AMP5 design and build engineering partners have been extended for a further five years.

The Environment Agency has awarded its Midlands and Anglian Minor Works Framework contract for flood prevention, worth up to £30 million over four years, to a total of 16 contractors.

Eight joint ventures have been shortlisted for the main construction of the Thames Tideway Tunnel across three main works contracts: east, central and west.

 

The Environment Agency has awarded a contract worth nearly £3.4 million for security guard services at the Thames Barrier and associated sites to Mitie Security.

Belfast City Council has gone out to tender with a £22 million-plus flood defence scheme for its East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme Phase 2.

 

Thames Water has gone out to tender for a fixed network meter reading service.

 

United Utilities has gone out to tender with a £220 million five year metering contract for the installation and maintenance of domestic and commercial water meters.
